1 Year – Audrey Grace

My baby is one. How? I cannot believe it has already been an entire year since this sweet girl was born.

Audrey is currently 19lbs 2 oz (40th%) and 28 inches long (12th%). At birth, Audrey weighed 7lbs 10 oz (69th%) and

Since my last update at 9 months so much has changed and Audrey got to experience many firsts.

One of the firsts- her first flight. Audrey flew on an airplane and got to meet her great grandma when my mom and I went to Michigan in May. She did amazing on the flight which was such a relief to me!

We didn’t know for sure at the time, but this was the only time Audrey would get to spend with my Grandma because she passed away about 6 weeks after this trip. The photos from this trip will be some of my most favorite pictures.

Another first- Audrey got to accompany Abe and me on a day date for the first time. We haven’t had an official date since she was born so my parents offered to take the boys for the day. Abe and I took advantage of some (somewhat) alone time and went out for lunch and ended up at the mall for a few hours. Audrey was perfect company and we enjoyed our time, just the three of us.

Audrey has transitioned completely over to formula. So that means I am officially done breastfeeding and pumping. It was a long, difficult journey and I was more than ready to be done. Since Audrey has been on the specialty formula she has almost completely stopped spitting up. She’s eating 3 meals and 2 snacks throughout the day and drinks about 8oz of formula a day.

We met with Audrey’s pediatrician this week and she advised us to trial dairy if we’re up for it. I will probably try giving her small amounts of cheese or yogurt for a few days and see how she does. She seems to be tolerating soy and eggs now so I am hopeful we will be able to introduce dairy soon. Now that she is over 1 we are going to wean her off of the formula and bottle. I am worried she’ll be a little resistant. Pray for us that this is an easy transition for her. I’ll keep you posted on how this goes but if you have any tips to get her off the bottle, send them my way!

Audrey really loves to eat and wants whatever everyone else is eating. We are trying sign language with her (just as we did with the boys) but instead of signing eat, she makes the silliest chewing motion & sound combo to tell us she wants to eat. She is obsessed with water and says “ahhhhh” whenever she wants it. It’s freaking adorable!

Highchair

Audrey has become a really great sleeper. She started sleeping through the night starting around 10 months. She goes down for the night around 8 pm and wakes up around 7:30 most mornings. Our routine will change once the boys go back to school but I am loving her sleeping in right now! She still takes 2 naps most days but sometimes one of those naps happen in the car or wherever we happen to be when she’s sleepy. She’s definitely a third baby when it comes to her nap schedule.

It is so incredibly hot so we have been staying busy at the pool or splash pad or different indoor play places.

And she also really loves the library!

Romper

Sunday School is another favorite of hers!

She is getting really wild and into everything. She’s standing and trying to climb everything. It is absolutely time to baby proof the house.

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you’ll know Audrey started walking last week. It happened so fast and she’s getting really good at it.

This girl is so much fun and I absolutely love watching her grow and discover new things.
