Water Toys for Summer

Like I mentioned earlier in the week the kids and I have been doing whatever we can to enjoy summer break without melting in the hot Arizona sun. It may seem like the only way to do that is if you have a pool.

When we bought our house three years ago we were pretty sure we did not want a pool. With Abe being a pediatrician and my experience in the hospital, we know how dangerous a pool can be. We just don’t want the risk right in our backyard. So, for now, we don’t have a pool.

But! No pool? No problem! We have found other ways to have fun while staying cool in our backyard. Today I am sharing some of our favorite water toys for summer that don’t require a pool.

WATER TOYS FOR SUMMER

Water Table: Our water table is one of the most used toys we have. We bought ours in 2013 and still use it a ton all year long. Audrey likes to use these buckets with it. You can also try filling the water table with these water beads for a fun sensory activity. Grab this set of tongs & scoopers to use for some fun fine motor practice.

Splash Pad Sprinkler: This splash pad sprinkler is a lot of fun and really cute! Just attach it to the hose and the rim fills with water and then shoots out the sprinklers. It is big enough for several kiddos to play on at once. This would make a really great gift for a toddler.

Slip ‘N Slide: My kids have been loving this! Noah and Audrey could spend all day playing on the slip and slide.

Pool: I love this pool so much because it’s the perfect size for younger toddlers. We add these balls to the pool and Audrey loves it!

Water Balloons: Is it even summer break if you don’t have at least one water balloon fight?! We love these quick-fill, self- sealing water balloons. They fill super fast and tie themselves so you don’t have to fill and tie each balloon one by one.

Water Park: Ok, so we don’t have this yet but I am so tempted to buy it! I have seen a lot of mamas who have this and say it is the best money they have ever spent! I could totally see my kids playing on this all summer long!
