Toddler Snacks

Audrey is an eating machine, guys! She is eating pretty much everything and she absolutely loves breakfast. But the one thing she loves more than breakfast- snacks! At the store, church, school pick-up line, wherever we are, Audrey wants a snack. I love finding new snacks for her to try and I especially love when that snack can be eaten on the go.

I have to admit, even with Audrey being my third baby, at first I just wasn’t sure what to give her for snacks. But after a couple of trips to the grocery store to walk the aisles, I now have a better idea of what to give her.  So today I wanted to share with you some of our favorite toddler snacks.

CRUNCHY SNACKS

PROTEIN

  • Hard-Boiled Egg: We love this Egg Cooker for making the most perfect hard-boiled eggs.
  • Peanut Butter I love these to-go containers of peanut butter for when we are out and about. They are perfect for dipping apple slices or crackers into or just eating off a spoon.
  • String or Cubed Cheese
  • Turkey and Cheese Roll-Ups
  • Cubed Chicken
  • Hummus- Packed in to-go cups and eaten with sliced veggies or crackers.
  • Yogurt- Single-serve tubes or pouches are great and super convenient but they are more expensive. You can use a small to-go container, instead.

FRUIT & VEGGIES

  • Grapes- Grapes should be quartered for toddlers. I am tempted to grab this tool to make quartering faster!
  • Berries
  • Apples- I thinly slice and peel apples for Audrey but for older toddlers, you can cut them into bigger chunks.
  • Applesauce Pouches
  • Melon Cubes or Balls
  • Dried Fruit
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Carrot Sticks
  • Cucumbers- Audrey likes to eat them in sticks or you could slice them, too.

I like to spend a little bit of time every couple of days packing our snack containers. I’ll wash and cut up enough fruit and vegetables for a few days, and pack them into our favorite snack containers. Having the snacks prepped and ready to go is so helpful in getting us out of the door.

Our house pretty much runs on goldfish and string cheese lol. I love the baked snap peas, though, myself!
