Preschool Recap

Well….that’s a wrap on preschool!

How? I have no idea. I could have sworn preschool just started and that we still had several more months before summer break began. But- here we are. My baby has graduated Preschool and is off to Kindergarten!

I wanted to put together a post with all of the fun things Noah did this year in preschool. I did a first part of the year post so some of these photos might be repeats for you. But I love having the entire school year all in one post to see just how much Noah has experienced and grown in one year.

First Day Jitters.

I’m not sure if I noticed how nervous Noah looked when I first took these photos 9 months ago. He was excited about school but I can see now that he was a bit nervous, too!

Leo the Leopard came home with Noah for a weekend and we took him everywhere! When he got back to school on Monday, Noah got to share with his classmates all the adventures he took Leo on.

The Great Arizona Puppet Theater came to school for an on-campus field trip. The students got to watch a puppet story about the Tooth Fairy!

Fall Festival- Pizza, Popcorn, and a movie on the lawn!

Noah and his best friend, Legend, visited the library for Halloween activities and Trick-or-Treating.

Halloween Dressup day at school. Noah insisted on his SWAT costume from last year.

My little Turkey. For Novembers chapel, Noah’s class opened worship with two songs!

Christmas Activities- Ugly Sweater, Breakfast with Santa, Christmas Program & Reindeer hats made at the class Christmas party!

Noah turned 5 this school year! He brought donut holes to school to share with his classmates!

There is a cute little pond with ducks near Noah’s school. He came up with the idea “Look at the ducks Friday”. So every Friday we would get out of the car a little early to stop by the pond to look at the ducks. I’ll miss this silly tradition Noah started.

Noah made lots of friends in preschool. We’ll miss them but hope to get together for playdates.

Water day! Water slides, squirt guns & popsicles for these soon to be Kindergarteners!

And finally, the last day. I really did not think I was going to be emotional about this. Man, was I wrong! Of course, I’m emotional- my baby is officially done with preschool. I am so excited for him to learn and grow in kindergarten but I am having a hard time believing it’s already time.

I cannot thank Noah’s teachers enough! Even before school started Noah hoped and prayed he would be in the Leopards class with Ms. Katie and I can totally see why! Ms. Katie and Ms. Jill are an absolute dream teaching team! The two of them are so sweet and kind and seem to really love their job. They always have a happy greeting for their students each morning and seemed genuinely happy to have Noah in class each day. I was blown away by their love for our whole family- not just Noah. There were a few times this year that emergencies came up with Connor and Ms. Katie and Ms. Jill were so accommodating & helpful. They’d allow us to leave Noah for a little longer if we needed and would always send well wishes for Connor. They would also love on Audrey and hold her for me when my hands were a little too full (like, always!). I really hoped to be more involved in Noah’s last year of preschool but trying to figure out life with 3 kiddos was difficult for me. It was so comforting to know Noah was in their care while at school. Their love for Noah & all of their students allowed me time to relax and recharge for the few hours I only had one child to care for. They will absolutely be missed (Noah already said to me “Wait! So, I won’t see them again…ever?”) but we look forward to seeing them again in a couple years when Sister starts preschool.

Preschool Graduation!

Clearly, Noah LOVED school!

I have no idea where the last 9 months went. I am realizing more and more how quickly time is going. I pray I can be more present, more patient and more involved. I don’t want to just survive the long days- I want to enjoy the days with my children.

Next up…Summer Break!
