At Home Date Night | A Cinco De Mayo Fiesta for Two

Since having our baby and officially becoming parents of three children, it has been pretty difficult to get out of the house for a date. In fact, Abe and I haven’t been out on a date together since before Audrey was born! It’s been a looooong time and we are absolutely due for a date night. But, since it’s not quite as easy to sneak away for a few hours these days, we have decided to bring the date night to us here at home! If you’re finding yourself at home for Cinco De Mayo, throw a fun fiesta date night for you and your husband!

CINCO DE MAYO AT HOME DATE NIGHT

I think I have mentioned before, but Abe and I had one of our first dates at a Mexican restaurant near the hospital we were working at. I was so nervous that I spilled water all over our table and the floor beside us. So embarrassing!

We went back to that restaurant many times throughout our first several months of dating. I remember one night in particular that we were there with a group of friends. We all realllllly enjoyed the margaritas and I’m pretty sure I told our waiter “Uno mas por favor!” several times that night.

Now we can’t drink margaritas without bringing up that night. So much fun and so few responsibilities.

For your Cinco De Mayo At Home Fiesta for Two you’ll need:

Tequila & Margarita Mix: We like Patron Tequila but any brand you prefer will work.

Margarita glasses

Glass Rimmer & Cocktail Salt

Ice

Chips, Salsa & Guacamole

Guacamole Mortar and Pestle

And some fun fiesta decor! Here | Here | Here

I really, really recommend you take the time to date your spouse! If you can’t get out for a date night, have one at home. Bring the Cinco De Mayo party to you! Do something you did while you were dating! This was so much fun and brought back a lot of really fun memories.

I love this! And great pictures! Completely agree about dating your spouse. My husband and I were just talking about doing our date night at home this months 😊 although we’re geeky and will likely go the Star Wars route for May 4th 🤓
