Weekend Wrap Up – February 17

This weekend started off the best way possible- with a quick look at our sweet girl! I mentioned before, but my OB has ordered an ultrasound every 2 weeks from 16 weeks until 24 weeks to check cervical length. I’m not concerned that my cervix will shorten (never had an issue with previous pregnancies) but I am loving the extra opportunities to see our daughter. She was looking pretty squished in there between my super full bladder and anterior placenta so it was hard to get a good profile picture but I was pretty happy with this shot. (*Met with my OB today and he said all looks good. Cervix is at the perfect length and not opening at all.)

Connor had another headache at school on Friday so after I picked up both boys from school, we came home for naps. Of course neither of them fell asleep but we did rest for a couple hours before Abe came home.

Saturday morning my parents took all 4 grandkids to see the Lego Batman movie! My boys were really looking forward to this day.

Abe and I took advantage of the quiet house and finally got our DIY pipe shelves hung. We are not DIYers and to be honest, projects around the house stress me out. But- I have so many ideas and the more we do, the more comfortable we get.

We were both surprised at how quickly these went up. If you’re considering pipe shelving- do it! It was super easy.

Our shelves aren’t decorated yet but they’re up and they look nice!

Our boys came home from my parents house and quickly got settled in with their iPads. I took a nap and I have no idea what Abe did. Haha

Saturday night we had a super fancy dinner- grocery store sushi 😉 I have been craving sushi but of course it’s not recommended during pregnancy. So, California rolls will have to do for now!

Sunday was the same as it is every week- church and then family lunch. We went to Red Robin for the first time in a very long time and I don’t think we will be back anytime soon. Crazy long wait and they seemed super understaffed. But the fries were good! 🙂

The rest of Sunday we were pretty lazy! Knowing the boys had the next day off school kept me from feeling the pressure to get the laundry and grocery shopping done.

Noah eventually gave in to his fatigue and cuddled up with Daddy before I put him to bed for the night.

Monday morning we made a quick ($200 ugh!) stop at Costco for some essentials. This photo got me stressing- how will I do Costco trips when the baby comes?! Clearly there is no room left in the cart for the carseat! I thought about wearing her in a wrap but how will I lift the heavy stuff?! Maybe I’ll just send Abe for a few months 🙂

That’s about it for our weekend. I hope you all had a great long weekend with the kids!
