Weekend Wrap Up 3/2/14

Friday my friend Jeanne made the journey all the way from the east valley over to our house so that our boys could play together! Jeanne is one of my best girlfriends. Unfortunately we live about an hour away from each other so we don’t get to see each other as often as we would like. We met working at a hospital here in Phoenix and quickly became really close friends. We were pregnant at the same time (same due dates, too!) but she delivered her twin boys about 3 weeks before I delivered Connor. She was my maid of honor in my wedding and just the best girlfriend I could ask for! Her boys Bryce & Brody are so handsome and really smart & funny! It was cute to see how amazed they were to play with all new toys! Connor wasn’t as interactive with them as I had hoped but he did pretty well for the most part. He wasn’t aggressive with them at all. I was really proud of him.

Friday afternoon we took Abe to the airport for a bachelor party in Vegas. I was a little nervous to be home by myself all weekend but it went much better than I could have thought.

On Saturday I finished painting Connor’s room. I am so happy with the way it turned out! I still have a few decor items to buy and I’m still trying to figure out what to do for curtains. Once I decide on those few things I’ll post the finished room.

Of course, I need my key items to get me through this DIY project: Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix and an Iced Venti Skinny Caramel Macchiato.

I also got most of the wreath I talked about last week finished.

The weather was pretty crappy this weekend so we were forced to stay inside. Poor Noah wanted to play outside in the rain so bad!

Sunday morning I managed to get us all ready and out the door on time for church! I was pretty proud of myself and rewarded our hard work with another iced coffee 🙂

I’ve always thought it was cute to see siblings coordinate their outfits and thought I would do that with the boys. It was harder when Noah was smaller to find things that matched with Connors clothes. But since they are both now wearing toddler sizes I have found tons of cute matching shirts! I found these polos at Old Navy.

It was a great weekend but we are happy to have daddy back home. We are both feeling the effects of the weekend… Abe having too much fun in Vegas & me taking care of the kids by myself. Not quite ready to take on the busy week ahead.

Thanks for stopping by!
