Whew. What a week! We have so much to be thankful for and so many blessings just this week alone!
Thursday started at my parents house for Thanksgiving Day family time! We had such a blast with my family. I said it before and I’ll say it over and over again; this is my favorite time of year. Family get togethers are my fav and this day did not disappoint! We ate lots of snacks and played some games (5 second rule is a must! Trust me- so funny!!) and we all laughed a lot!
We made a quick stop at home before heading over to the Perry’s house for Thanksgiving Dinner. This was our fourth year doing thanksgiving together! Cari and I grocery shop together a few days ahead of time but Cari does all the cooking. She cooks an amazing Thanksgiving dinner, guys! Seriously so good! Abe and I look forward to her turkey all year long!
I didn’t bring my camera and Cari has a 6 week old baby so I am not going to bug her to send me the photos she took. I’ll get them when I get them 🙂 Just imagine my family standing next to a giant inflatable Olaf!
Friday morning Noah and I headed out for some Black Friday shopping. We only needed to go to two stores and neither were crazy busy so that was nice! I got the few things on my list and we were home within 2 hours. It was fun to shop with my little guy; although I think he just came for the cake pop I promised him!
A memory popped up on my Facebook feed of Connor on Black Friday when he was 18 months old! He was so stinking cute!
When we got home, Abe and Connor were up and requesting breakfast. The boys and I put together pumpkin cinnamon rolls that also came from Facebook. Thanks Facebook 🙂
While we waited for the cinnamon rolls to cook, I turned on the NSync Holiday station on Pandora and got started on our outdoor holiday decorations.
Saturday was a big day- Michigan/Ohio State game! We got together again at my moms house early for biscuits and gravy breakfast while we waited for the game to start. It was such a fun game to watch with my family. My mom is a Michigan fan and just about everyone else has the right idea, rooting on the Buckeyes!
Of course Ohio State won and we were able to convince my mom to “dot the i”! Such a fun day!
Noah had been fighting a little cold so it did not surprise me that he woke up with a little fever a couple hours after we had put him to bed. Poor guy was so sad but after getting some Tylenol in him and allowing him to sleep in our room, he was fine the rest of the night.
Since he did have a fever, I didn’t feel comfortable allowing him in the Sunday School classroom with the toddlers. He was pretty bummed since he was feeling much better but I didn’t want to risk any of the kids getting sick so we (the boys and I) stayed home. We read a couple Bible stories and watched a “What’s in the Bible” videos on Youtube before heading out for a couple errands.
Connor has a music concert coming up this week so we definitely needed to get him a haircut! He’s not super into posing for pictures these days but Noah was happy to smile for me 🙂 I love how handsome he looks after a haircut!
We ate a quick lunch at Char before heading home for my favorite weekend activity- Sunday afternoon nap!
We ate leftovers for dinner and I slowly got ready for the coming week. I needed a lazy day after this busy weekend!
Tomorrow is an exciting day and Tuesday is Connor’s music concert. The weeks are flying by and Christmas will be here before we know it! I am so excited!!!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
