SEPHORA BEAUTY INSIDER EVENT
Mascara: THE.BEST.MASCARA. This is hands down the best mascara I have ever used. I tried it several years ago and have not gone back. It is so beautiful. Your lashes will be full and beautiful with only a couple of coats. This doesn’t clump or get spidery at all! I get compliments all the time when I wear this mascara and people even ask me if I am wearing lash extensions. Seriously, if you buy one thing from the sale, buy this mascara! You will love it, I promise!
Facial Cotton: I know this seems silly and maybe it totally is. But hear me out! Ever since my birthday last year, I have decided that I am going to take the time and money to invest in my skin. Growing up and into my twenties, I did not take care of my skin at all. I fried myself every summer. I slept in my makeup. And I only moisturized if I could actually see that my skin was dry. As I am getting older (I’ll be 32 in a couple of months) I can see my skin changing and I am terrified! I don’t expect to look young forever but I do want to be gentle with my skin to help it look it’s best as long as possible. So I have really stepped up my skin care game over the past year and these cotton pads are part of the change. They are so soft and feel so luxurious on my skin. I use them to gently remove eye makeup and to apply toner after cleansing my face. I know they are a bit pricy especially compared to something you could buy at Target but they are so, so worth it!
Makeup Remover: Another skincare item I cannot be without is this makeup remover balm. You use it on dry skin to dissolve all of your makeup. It goes from a balm to oil to a milky consistency after you rinse your face with water. It’s not greasy at all. I use this as a first cleanser and then use an actual face wash after.
Lip Gloss: I have mentioned this lip gloss a ton. It is so pretty and slightly plumps your lips. I love the color White Russian.
Brow Pencil: This is another tried and true makeup product that I repurchase over and over. This brow pencil makes your brows look natural and beautiful. I don’t use a ton of product because I have pretty thick brows but I do need to fill in the more sparse areas and this pencil is perfect for that. I love that the product stays in place all day and doesn’t smudge all over my face.
Eyeshadow Palette: I am not sure how I stumbled upon this palette (maybe a beauty blogger?) and I have no idea why I purchased it (probably because a beauty blogger told me to?) but I am so glad I did! These shadows are so beautiful and feel really soft on the lids. I love that there is a mix of matte and wearable shimmer shades in this palette. You can create a really beautiful everyday makeup look or a sexy nighttime look all with this one palette.
Brush Cleanser: Just like it’s important to keep your skin clean, it’s super important to keep your makeup brushes and sponges clean. This brush cleanser is so easy to use and works so well! I am always so amazed at how clean my brushes get when I use this.
Dry Shampoo: This is another one of my staples. I have tried tons of different dry shampoo brands and this is one that I always go back to. I hate when a dry shampoo makes my hair look and feel wet or sticky. This dry shampoo does not do that at all. After spraying it in your hair at the roots, let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then use your fingers to work it into your hair. And then I’ll usually lightly brush out my hair and touch up any curls with my curling iron and I’m done! Not having to wash my hair every day is such a time saver and this dry shampoo makes that possible.
Texture Spray: I got this in a sample box a few months ago and I freaking love it. It smells so, so good and is the perfect finishing spray to add some texture and messy-ness to my hair. I especially love it for freshly washed hair to add some grit and…well, texture. Ha!
NEW THINGS I AM GOING TO BUY
Tatcha Primer: I am always looking for new primers. Not because I don’t like the one I have. But because I just like trying new primers, I guess? This one has very good reviews so I am going to give it a try. I like primers that really smooths the skin and hides pores and this one claims to do that flawlessly. I can’t wait to try it!
Setting Powder: I have been looking for a new setting powder and I think this is the one I am going to try. I have heard really good things about the Fenty brand and this powder specifically. It is said to smooth pores and fine lines and help makeup last longer.
Undereye Concealer: I am really excited to try this undereye concealer that I have heard so much about! The website says it is “A bestselling, award-winning concealer that delivers full coverage, lasts for up to 24 hours, and won’t crease or crack” and I am all about that! I hope it’s as good as they say!
The sale starts today and runs through May 6th. You can shop in-store or online and use the promo as many times as you want between now and May 6th. I love that they allow you to use the code more than once so that I can go back to grab something if I forget- like today when I forgot to pick up the cotton pads!
Let me know what you pick up from the sale. And please tell me your favorite makeup or skincare product from Sephora that I should try!

Sounds like a fun event!
I’ve still yet to jump on the dry shampoo band wagon, but maybe one of these days!
