I am so glad that you guys have been loving these activities to play with your toddlers! These posts have been some of my most popular posts and they have been getting a lot of attention on Pinterest! So I think that means you have found these to be helpful. If so, yay!
Today, I am sharing 2 more fun activities for you to play with toddlers.

MESS – FREE FINGER PAINTING
- Paper
- Ziplock bag
- Paint
Place a sheet of paper inside a ziplock bag. Squirt a few globs of paint onto the paper and seal the bag. Tape the bag to the high chair tray and get to paintin’! (I forgot to tape the bag down for the photos and all Audrey wanted to do was throw the bag off the tray. Lesson learned!) When your toddler is done painting, pull the paper out of the bag and let dry. Then admire the heck out of your toddler’s first art project 🙂
There are so many ways to make this more fun for older toddlers. I love the idea of using this activity to teach color mixing. To do that, use two primary colors of paint on your paper in the bag. Show your child how those two colors when mixed together make a new color. I have seen other mamas skip the paper and tape the bag to windows to let the light shine through the paint.
CARD SLOT DROP
- Container with a lid
- Cards
Pretty obvious what we are doing with this one! I am sure you have these items already at home so just cut a slot into your container lid and show your babe how you drop the cards in. Audrey loved opening the container to get the cards out. I liked using the seethrough container so that Audrey could watch the cards fall in.
This is a super simple activity to keep in mind for those days when mama isn’t feeling well but baby still needs to be entertained.
