We are a little over a week away from the biggest and greatest sale of the year: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019! I have shopped this sale for the past several years and I get more and more excited as it gets closer.
If you are familiar with the sale, you know how exciting it is. New, beautiful inventory at crazy good prices. If you are familiar with the sale, you also know that it can be a bit crazy, too!
I want you guys to enjoy this sale as much as I do so today I am sharing all my tips and tricks for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019.

NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE 2019
Ok, so if you aren’t familiar, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a huge sale that happens every year in July. This sale is so amazing because it is all NEW inventory for fall/winter at incredible prices. This isn’t an “end of the season, sell whatever we have left” kind of sale. This is all new, really beautiful items at a big discount.
If you are a Nordstrom cardholder, you can shop the Early Access starting July 12th through July 18th. The sale opens to the general public on July 19th and runs through August 4th. On August 5th, the inventory will be restocked and everything will be listed at full price.
Every year, you can count on amazing deals on denim, shoes, coats, and clothing for the entire family. As well as baby gear, home goods, and beauty products. Because the prices are so good, the sale can get a little chaotic. Here are my tips for successful shopping during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019.
MY TIPS FOR THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
- Get the Nordstrom card. There are so many benefits to the card (earn 3 points per dollar towards Notes, alteration credit, double points days, etc.) but the biggest benefit, in my opinion, is that you get Early Access to the Anniversary sale. Guys, listen to me: the items included in this sale are so, so good and I promise you, they WILL sell out FAST! Shopping Early Access is the only way to guarantee that you will get the items you have your eyes on at the sale price. Having the Nordstrom Card is the only way to get Early Access. If you don’t want to open a Nordstrom credit card, check into the Nordstrom Retail card. The retail card works like a debit card in that is it linked to your bank account and allows you to shop Early Access. Annnnd if you sign up for either the credit card or the retail card now, not only will you have Early Access to the Anniversary Sale, you will also earn $60 bonus Note when you use your card the same day you are approved! Save that note and use it during the sale! Score!! Sign up here.
- Make a list. Go through your closet tonight and see what you actually need. It’s so easy to get caught up in the excitement of the sale and end up buying things you don’t actually need. (Hello, 5 black basic tees hanging in my closet. Ugh!) Make a list of items from your closet that you are missing or need to replace. Need new jeans this fall? What about cardigans or a coat? Bras? Boots? What about your husband and kids? Make a list so that you are ready to shop smart!
- Shop online and shop fast! The store is guaranteed to be crazy! I will probably go to the store once or twice, but the majority of my shopping will be done online. Shop from the comfort of your own home. It’ll be worth it, I swear! If you need an item right away, buy online and use the pickup in store option. I will be posting a ton of sale details for you to shop online so make sure you’re following my blog, liketoknow.it, and instagram. Also, I am not lying when I say things sell out fast. Last year, I spent about 90 minutes shopping online and had an entire cart full of Anniversary Sale items. When I was finally done browsing all the sections of the sale and was ready to check out, several items in my cart were suddenly out of stock. I was so bummed. So instead, if I know I am for sure going to be buying a specific item, I will add it to my cart and check out right away. Nordstrom ALWAYS offers free shipping so don’t worry about placing several orders in one day.

You can browse the sale catalog here but like I said you won’t be able to shop until July 12th if you are a cardholder. You can guarantee there will be amazing sales for women, men, kids and baby, home and beauty.
