A few months ago I told you all that we sold our first home.
If you follow me on Instagram you have probably seen most of these pictures but I just wanted to quickly update you on the progress of the new house.
Just to refresh your memory, we signed papers on the new house in September…forever ago!
They finally started the building process in late December.
Then the foundation was poured in early January.
Then it sat like that (what felt like) forever.
Finally on January 20th the lumbar was delivered. That sat there forever.
We took the boys out to visit the site and walk around the foundation. Every time we look at the house it’s usually just a drive by. It always looked so small from the car! I couldn’t figure out how this house was going to be any bigger than our last. When we finally got out of the car and walked around the foundation, I realized it actually is bigger than it looks.
The boys had fun standing in their future bedrooms 🙂
A couple weeks later we were notified that framing was about to begin! The boys and I drove by a few days later to check the progress. It’s actually starting to look like a house!
The boys and I drove by last week and were able to watch the crew use a crane to put the roof pieces on!
This last photo is from this morning. It is really coming along. Our salesperson told us the next step would be windows!
We hear that from this point things start to move along more quickly & I am really hoping that’s the case. We are currently living in a very small apartment & we are just dreaming of the day we have some more space!
I’ll update you again soon & hopefully there will be some big changes!
Thanks for the update! So excited for Christmas Eve! 🙂
