About a year ago, I brought Audrey with me to the nail salon like I had many times before. This day was different, though because this seemed to be the first time she actually understood what we were there for. And she was very excited about it! As I was looking through the endless color options, she requested I paint my nails yellow. I thanked her for her suggestion but went with my usual, go-to color, bright pink. Audrey sat in my lap and very closely watched every step of my manicure.
Ever since that day at the nail salon, Audrey has been asking me for yellow nails.
Fast forward a few months, the request for yellow nails came up again but this time, at my mom’s house. Lucky for Audrey, Grandma just so happened to have yellow nail polish!
I had been looking forward to painting my daughter’s nails long before I even had a daughter. It probably sounds silly but painting Audrey’s nails yellow was a really sweet moment that I will remember forever! I’ll never forget how perfectly still she sat as she watched me paint her teeny tiny nails. And how she proudly held her hands up to show Grandma. It was adorable!
Since that day I have been painting Audrey’s nails pretty regularly. Today I am sharing some of our favorite nail polish for toddlers and what we use to get the perfect manicure!
