I have been trying hard this summer to keep the boys busy and away from the TV as much as I can. It’s not always easy keeping two busy boys happy while also juggling a toddlers nap schedule. So I try to have a few activities we can do together at home while Audrey naps. Today I’m sharing with you a fun craft that we made a few weeks ago. Making this DIY tic tac toe set would be the perfect playdate activity or something to make at home with your kids.

DIY TIC TAC TOE SET
Making this DIY tic tac toe set was really simple and requires minimal supplies, most of which we already had on hand.
For this activity you’ll need:
Start by having your kids paint their rocks. We decided to paint each rock a different color but you could make the X’s one color and the O’s another color. Or paint designs on the rocks. Let your kids get creative!
After the rocks had some time to dry, paint the Xs and Os. Don’t forget to paint the lines on your tree slice.
When the rocks are all dry, it’s time to play!
My boys are pretty competitive with each other so we are working on teaching them good sportsmanship. I loved seeing the boys create this game board and then play together.
I love how nice the board and rocks look set up in our backyard. Keeping this outside is a way to guarantee my boys play with it when we are in the backyard together. I love that we have this outside for our friends to play, too, and it makes it extra special since the boys made it!
