Dear Noah,

I asked Abe to write a special letter to Noah for his first birthday. He is so good with words and he pretty much always brings me to tears whenever her writes about our boys.

To my precious son:

Dear Noah,

You are already the big ONE year old!! It seems like just yesterday I was in the operating room seeing you delivered and crying your cute pink face off. 2013 went by so fast and I am grateful that God has kept you handsome and healthy until now…other than that mild case of the flu :o( . I love seeing your amazing smile before I leave for work every day and seeing your arms reach up for me when I come home. Part of me is always sad to have to leave you and potentially miss any new things you might do, but I know that your awesome mommy will be right there to tend to your every need.
Noah, it has been exciting to see you grow throughout the past year and see you transition from that chunky, Pillsbury-like, troll doll head of hair baby into this adorable little boy who now likes to gnaw on his crib like a hamster and race up the stairs when no one is looking! You are so adventurous, exciteable, snuggly and just beaming with pure joy. You make the most adorable cooing sounds whenever I hold you in my arms and you rest your head on my shoulder. I feel like the luckiest father in the world knowing God has blessed me with another son as precious as you. I love hearing your adorable laugh when your brother, Connor, comes to hug you or when we’re playing peek-a-boo in the mirror.
I pray God may help me be the best father I can be and raise you in His image. I know there will be hard times down the road where you will hear the word, “no”, a lot but please try not head-butting me too hard. Please know that I will always have your best interest in mind and that I will always be there to love you, support you and pick you up when you fall. I love you so much my beautiful Noah.
Happy Birthday!!

Love,
Daddy
