Boy’s Birthday Gift Guide

Our sweet boy just turned seven! With his birthday so soon after Christmas, I always feel a little unsure when it comes to a really good birthday present. I did some browsing and found some really great gift ideas. So, if you’re shopping for a 7-10-year-old boy, check out this boy’s birthday gift guide.

ArchiTECH Electronic Smart House: This kit looks SO cool! With this kit, you can “design and build amazing architecture with lights, sound, and motion. The modular building system lets you add and stack floors in all sorts of configurations and then add your own furnishings, art, tiny plants, and accessories. Create a garage door, drawbridge, flickering fireplace, television, automatic night light, silent alarm, elevator, and more while learning the science behind things like conductors, insulators, electric circuits, and diodes.” I am kinda bummed we didn’t get this for Noah this year. I am adding it to his Christmas list, for sure!

Snap Circuits Pro: This is another really great STEM kit. With this kit, your child can build over 500 experiments with 76 different pieces. Experiments include a digital voice recorder, AM radio, digitally tuned FM radio, AC generator, screaming fan, whistle switch and more. We have this kit and our boys really enjoy it.

LEGO City Pizza Van: I’m not sure if you saw this or not, but Noah’s birthday party was Pizza themed. So this LEGO Pizza van was a perfect gift for him! Our boys love LEGOs and have loved them since they were toddlers playing with LEGO Duplos. Noah definitely prefers the LEGO city sets. He has a pretty cool city with this pizza van, his police mobile command station, and the fire chief response unit.

K’NEX Flash Fire Motorized Blaster Building Set: Noah is big into Nerf guns. Even though he has a ton, he’s always asking for more. I like this one so much better because he gets to build it first and then use it in his next Nerf battle. “The Flash Fire Motorized Blaster Building Set comes with 288 parts and pieces that can be clicked together to build a rapid-fire blaster. It’s battery-operated and motorized. This feature allows kids to fire 10 darts as fast as they can pull the trigger and as far as 75 feet.” Ok, so maybe this blaster will give a bit of an unfair advantage in a Nerf battle! So much fun, though!

Novie Robot: This was the only gift Noah had on his birthday wishlist. Well, this and a pack of gum. Ha! This robot is really cute and “ready to play right out of the box! Switch Novie on & his eyes light up, letting you know he’s ready to play. Teach him 12 tricks & watch him perform 75 actions!” I really like this robot compared to other robots because you don’t need a tablet to play with it. “Control him with a variety of hand gestures & teach him to do fun tricks like Spinout, Wheelie, Wacko Walk, Fartnado & more!” Grab this case to keep your Novie safe.

Rubix Cube Set: Noah learned how to solve one side of a Rubix cube so now he’s obsessed! Ever since then, he’s been watching youtube videos to learn how to solve the entire cube. He’s starting to get the hang of it. Thanks, youtube! One of our friends gave Noah an Amazon gift card for his birthday. He used it to purchase this set of 5 Rubix cubes.

Pokemon Cards: The boys at church are into Pokemon Cards. I have zero clue how they work but Noah loves them. He tells me about their health score and their damage code and gets really excited when he has an EX card. With some of his birthday money, Noah bought himself this set of Pokemon cards. He also wanted this binder to organize all of his cards but decided to save his money for a little longer.

Delux Art Kit: Last semester, Noah joined an after school drawing club and really, really enjoyed it! He got a kit similar to this for Christmas. It has been so great at keeping his interest in drawing and allowing him to create really beautiful art projects. This kit has 24 oil pastels, 24 watercolors, 24 colored pencils, a sharpener, 2 brushes, and more.

Crayola Light Up Tracing Pad: Noah loves this!! The kit includes 1 graphite pencil, 12 colored pencils, 10 tracing sheets, 10 blank sheets, and a slim pad that lights up to make tracing lines easy to see.

Rock Tumbler: Another one of Noah’s most recent interests; rocks. My parents bought this rock tumbler for Noah for Christmas and he has loved it so much. “This kit includes the tumbler, four polishing grits, sifter, learning guide plus nine types of real rough gemstones.” It’s really easy to use and has been a great activity for Noah and Abe to do together.

Break Open Geodes: These are really fun for your rock lovers. This set comes with 10 geodes to break open to find beautiful crystals inside. It makes a great outside activity. We bought one of these organizers so that he can keep his “crystal rocks” safe.
