I recently ran out of a bunch of makeup products all at one time (ugh! So expensive!) so I had to place a big Sephora order. If you’re looking for some new makeup products, keep reading for my recent makeup favorites!

RECENT MAKEUP FAVORITES
Primer: If you like a primer that will smooth your skin and blur your pores, this is a really good one. I am a big fan of primers and I really like to try other primers that I see mentioned on Instagram or beauty blogs. And while I have discovered a few others I like and wouldn’t have tried otherwise, this primer is the one that I always go back to time after time. Also- I have noticed a few people say they don’t wear primer or that the don’t think applying primer is worth the extra step. But I totally disagree. Like other busy moms, I don’t have a ton of time to spend on my makeup every day. So when I do take the time to do my makeup, I want it to stay in place all day! A good primer really will help your makeup last all day. And it gives your face a really nice base to apply the rest of your makeup to. If you have tried primer before but didn’t like it, try another type. There are so many different primers available for all kinds of skin types and issues you want to correct. Blur pores, calm redness, hydrate, and so much more!
Stay in Place Foundation: This has been a new-ish favorite foundation of mine. It is a full coverage, matte, liquid foundation. Most days I prefer a full coverage foundation and this one is a beautiful option for that.
Setting Powder: I originally bought this in a trial size to see if I liked it before I committed to the full size. Two things: 1. I LOVE IT! It’s so good and makes your skin look so flawless. And 2. It will last you forever! You only use the teeniest amount so this powder will last you such a long time. I just looked up my order history. I ordered the trial size in May of last year. Even with Audrey spilling this all over my counters multiple times, the small, trial size has still lasted me over a year!
Lip Gloss Set: This set contains five lip balms and glosses, including a full-size Fenty Gloss Bomb and NARS Afterglow Lip Balm. Before I saw this kit, I had the Too Faced Lip Injection Lip Plumper and a Lancome Juicy Tube in my cart. Both of these are included in the set along with 3 other lip glosses.
HAIR PORDUCTS
Olaplex System: I am obsessed with the Olaplex Bond Builder Hair Care System. Olaplex has totally saved my hair and now I cannot be without it. Ever. I’ll share more about my journey to reapir my badly damaged hair in a couple of months but, spoiler alert- it was this system that I used. 3 Hair Perfector is an at-home treatment that I use once or twice a week. The bottle says to apply a generous amount to towel dried hair. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes and then wash out. My favorite way to use it is to apply to damp hair, throw hair up in a silk scrunchie and sleep on it. Rinse out in the morning. Steps 4 Shampoo & 5 Conditioner are the only shampoo and conditioner I use. It has made the biggest difference in my hair after 18 months of struggling with really dry, damaged, and broken hair. I use a very small amount of step 6 on towel-dried hair before blowdrying. Step 7 is really great for adding shine and strength and can also be used as a heat protectant. If you want to try Olaplex System before commiting to the full size products, check out this trial kit.
Moroccanoil Great Hair Day Set: I use a couple of pumps of Moroccanoil on wet hair right after I get out of the shower. (I alternate between this and the Olaplex product I mentioned above and cometimes I even mix them together.) It detangles and makes my hair really silky and easy to gently brush through after washing. I saw this set on Sephora’s website and compared the price of the set and just the oil alone. This set is $48 for a 3.4oz bottle of Moroccanoil and a full-size ceramic paddle brush. A 3.4oz bottle of Moroccanoil by itself is $44 so I went with the set.
