Recent Sephora Favorites

Hey hey, friends! It has been so long since I have published a new blog post. I kind of accidentally took the two weeks my kids were home from school off from the blog. I have missed it and am so happy to be back! Today I am sharing some awesome recent Sephora favorites of mine. I placed an order about a month ago and have been really excited to share with you the products I have been loving.

MAKEUP

Foundation: This foundation is a cult favorite among many beauty bloggers I follow. For some reason, though, I was really hesitant to try it. I guess it’s because I was so in love with this foundation that I didn’t think I could love another one more? But boy was I wrong. This full-coverage foundation is so gorgeous and wears so beautifully. I applied only one layer of the foundation with this beauty sponge and I was so happy with the coverage for everyday wear. Hours and hours later when I went to wash my face at night, it was still perfectly in place! For events or photos, I can see how this will be really beautiful and long-lasting when a couple of layers are applied. I am so glad I gave it a shot. I see myself repurchasing this over and over again. If you like full coverage foundation and have not yet tried this one, give it a shot! Oh, and under the foundation, I am really loving this primer again.

Brow Pencil: I bought this one a few months ago when the store I was at was out of the brow pencil I normally use. Again, I was nervous to try something I wasn’t used to but I am so happy I did. After using up all of my last pencil, I repurchased this one again (over the one that I usually use). Both pencils are good and by the same brand so the product is the same. What I like about the brow definer, though, is the size and shape of the product. I have fuller brows so I like the larger, triangular shape of the definer over the small, more precise shape of the brow wiz. Both products have a spooly on the end that is super convenient for shaping and blending the brows. And I love this clear brow gel for setting the brows and keeping them in place. You only need a super small amount so this tube will last you a long time.

SKINCARE

I shared a little bit last month but my skin has been struggling this past year. Last fall I was diagnosed with perioral dermatitis (I can share more about this later) and I have also been dealing with some breakouts. I have switched over to clean skincare products and have seen really great results. One of the newest skincare products I have tried is this deep cleansing exfoliator. What initially caught my eye is that it’s free of SLS, a chemical known for aggravating perioral dermatitis, and it’s more gentle than most exfoliators. My skin feels smoother and looks brighter after using this exfoliator. Another new to me product is this spot treatment. I am thankful that acne isn’t something I struggle with regularly, but I do get breakouts from time to time. When I do get breakouts, I am so terrible at just letting them be. So instead of picking and making the breakouts even angrier, I’ve been using this. I am so impressed at how quickly the breakouts shrink after just a few hours after application. To use this product you just dip a clean q-tip into the bottle, all the way to the bottom (do not shake the product!) and dab the product onto blemishes. You can reapply a couple of times a day or just wear it overnight like I do. It really works to get rid of acne quickly. And of course, I had to grab another package of THE.BEST. facial cotton.

HAIR

Along with my skin freaking out, my hair has been a mess, too. After trying so many things (cutting down on heat styling, only using silk scrunchies, taking vitamins, talking to my dermatologist, and so much more) my hairstylist suggested I switch to Olaplex. The second I left her chair I ordered steps 3-6. I am so happy with the results I could cry! I am still working on growing out the breakage that happened early last year and my hair is not perfect by any means. But right now, my hair is the healthiest it has ever been! The shampoo & conditioner and bond smoother have been so good for my hair! I use the hair perfector twice a week to strengthen my hair and it really works. These four products have been game-changers for my hair. If you’re struggling with breakage or dry, damaged hair, try these. I promise you they’ll work! And if you’re trying to stay away from SLS like I am, you’ll be happy to know these products are SLS free!
