Sensory Play – Cloud Sand

After looking all over Pinterest, I found a lot of cool Sensory activities that I knew Connor would love! We have a ton (a ridiculous amount!) of toys inside so I love finding new things for us to do outside. I know there is a “recipe” for creating Cloud Sand but I just used an entire bag of flour and a travel size bottle of baby oil. I mixed it all into a shallow rectangular shaped tub. (Get one with a lid for storing it when you’re done.) I bought a bunch of random scoops, measuring cups & spoons, and cupcake liners from the dollar store. I think it would be fun to add some actual sand toys, too. This stuff is really cool! The oil makes the flour moldable (and smell good, too!) so we had fun making ‘snowmen’ and sandcastles. He also worked on tracing letters with his finger in the sand! This was a big hit with Connor & I know it’s something we will be playing with for a while!
